Hey Reader, Here's a little joke I often make: you can always tell who's an entrepreneur by how many URLs they own ๐คฃ Not because we ever use them all. Because we can't stop having ideas. A course we might build one day. A product we might make. A weird little side thing we're pretty sure could work. If you've got a domain sitting somewhere collecting dust for a "someday" idea, you already know exactly what I mean. Here's the thing about being a high-achieving woman with a lot of ideas: the ideas were never the problem. Trying to move on all of them at the same time is. I started my coaching business 8 years ago. This year, I started a second business. Not because I suddenly had more hours in the day, but because I finally let one idea have its turn instead of trying to build it alongside everything else at full speed. To be super-duper clear: coaching isn't going anywhere, it's still very much my main thing ๐ But this year, one of those "someday" ideas got its turn, and I'm genuinely excited to share it with you: Introducing Pack Happi Rentable moving totes, delivered straight to your door, so nobody has to deal with cardboard boxes, tape, or storage of totes after the move. My husband and I are building this one together, and watching it become real has been one of the best parts of this year. If you're local to Tulsa (or know someone with a move coming up), send them to packhappi.com. Not local? Come say hi at @packhappi on Instagram or TikTok anyway, it's fun even if you'll never need a tote. What idea has been sitting in your own collection of "someday" URLs? I'd love to hear it, hit reply and tell me. PS: Since we're on the subject of ideas that got their turn: this month's Pause Post letter closes this Thursday (the 10th) if you want one in your actual mailbox, sign up today. |
I write for women business owners who are successful, capable, and quietly exhausted by how much they carry and still somehow wonder if it's enough. I'm Amanda. I'm not your hype girl. I'm the friend who gets it. Subscribe for honest, weekly notes on what it actually feels like to do a lot and still give yourself permission to pause.
Hey Reader, Happy September 1st. However you're spending today, there's a good chance some part of you is already feeling the pull to get moving on something. Here's the real-life math: you've got about 12 weeks of real "getting things done" runway before Thanksgiving flips the switch and attention turns toward family, holidays, and slowing down. After that, it's a different season entirely. So instead of a September to-do list, I'd offer one question: If you only let yourself make real...
Hey Reader, How many first-day-of-school pictures have you scrolled past lately? From kindergarten backpacks bigger than the kid wearing them to the (genuinely shocking, see below๐) professionally-designed college dorm transformations... it's everywhere right now. Fun to see, but here's the interesting part: that whole back-to-school moment does something for our brains even decades past needing new pencils. It's called the Fresh Start Effect. It shows up at New Year's, on birthdays, and...
Happy August Reader, We've entered one of the weirdest months. It's kinda summer, kinda creeping into fall. Where I live it's still sweltering, but pumpkin candles are already hitting the shelves. I love pumpkin season. I'm just not ready for summer sunshine to end. You might be feeling that same tug-of-war. Part of you wants to hang onto slow summer days, part of you is ready to get back to a routine. Good news: it's coming. September and October tend to be the most productive stretch of the...
